”I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” [Gal 2:20 KJV]
I’m dead…long live me! I’m dead, but I’m alive: but not the me of the past. A new being lives in me now. He is powered by my faith in Jesus, the Son of God. He’s alive in me, and everything I now do, it’s really him doing it in me and through me. He’s doing all these, such as being loving, joyful, peaceful, kind, gentle, faithful, and good, because he traded his perfect life for my worthless one. Hence from now onward I’m no longer alive in this body – it is Christ who is alive in me. The outward demonstration of this powerful act is that I’m no longer easily offended, nor am I any longer vengeful. After all I’m dead, and the dead don’t feel a thing.
